How the URL pre-filter works (and why some articles are not AI-analysed)
To spend AI capacity only where it matters, we first check each article's URL section. A Bangladesh political-violence incident is always published under news sections (national, country, politics, crime, campus, city), never under sections like sports, world/international, entertainment, business, opinion, jobs, or the literary supplement (onnoalo).
So an article whose URL falls in one of these out-of-scope sections is auto-detected from its URL section and marked "URL pre-filtered" — automatically excluded from AI analysis:
sports · international · world · entertainment · business · economy · lifestyle · opinion / op-ed · analysis · jobs (chakri) · onnoalo / literature · technology · science · health · travel · food · fashion · photo · horoscope
This is a URL-section rule, not keyword matching on the article text. Everything in the actual news sections still goes through the full AI classifier.
